No. 5 in my Top 10 of online tools for primary education is Weebly, the tool I have used to create this Blog and website. It really is quite a remarkable free resource! Attractive and professional-looking pages (well, I think they look professional!) can be quickly and easily created using a drag-and-drop interface. As usual with Web 2.0 sites, there is a paid-for version with extra features, but the free version contains more than enough bells and whistles to satisfy the most creative key stage 2 web designer.
The only reason it isn't higher in my Top 10 is the minor reservation that, if you are a bit cack-handed like me, it is easy to absent-mindedly close or navigate away from the web browser tab in which Weebly is located. If you do that, then literally all is lost, unless you have repeatedly saved your work - irritatingly its not possible to save your draft and carry on working on it, as Weebly closes the editing window down and you have to tediously open it again. Sorry, seems that I am dwelling on Weebly's faults - try it out, it really is an excellent resource!
